How do I adjust stock levels?

Yes. Open the Items section under Inventory, switch to the Activity view, and adjust the count from there.

This is what you use for damaged goods, lost items, miscounts, and any other correction after a physical stocktake. Nassima runs you through a short Fix a count flow, and for each adjustment you record:

  • The item
  • The adjustment quantity
  • The reason for the change

The reason is a free-text field rather than a fixed list, so you can note exactly what happened — damaged stock, lost items, a supplier shortfall, a recount, or anything else that applies.

Every adjustment you post stays in the history, linked to that item, so a stock number that changed can always be explained later. Adjustments can also be routed for approval before they're finalized, and you can attach evidence, such as a photo or a signed count sheet, to back one up.

Adding and editing the items themselves is covered under Inventory management — this entry is specifically about correcting the quantity you already have on hand.

The result: whatever caused the mismatch, there's always a record of what changed and why.
