How do I manage inventory items?

Go to Inventory > Stock in Nassima to manage your inventory item master — this is where you track the parts and stock units your business holds, kept as its own record separate from the products and services you sell through your catalog.

To add a new item, use Add New from that section. Nassima needs:

• An item name
• An item code

You can also fill in:

• A barcode
• A category
• Item images

Yes, you can scan barcodes. Open the barcode lookup on the Stock page and scan, or type, a barcode to bring up the matching item straight away instead of searching a list by name.

Each item can also be assigned to a category to help you group similar stock together.

An inventory item can also be linked to a matching product in your catalog, so the two records point at each other. What actually happens to stock once a part gets used, such as being consumed on a job, is covered under Inventory management rather than here.

The item code you set when you create an item stays fixed — it isn't something you regenerate later.

Scan the barcode, and the right item is already in front of you — no hunting through a list.
