How do I create a job?
Esta resposta está, por agora, publicada apenas em inglês.
Go to Work Orders, under Operations, and start a new one. That's also where you'll find Quick Job, a faster way to open a job without building out a full work order first.
Work order and job aren't the same thing, even though the terms get used loosely. A work order is the top-level record for a piece of customer work. A job is the actual unit of work under it — the technician's worklist, with the staff assigned, the services performed, the parts used, and the progress and completion status for that piece of work. One work order can hold more than one job. Creating, assigning, and managing work orders themselves is covered under Work orders.
To create a job through Quick Job, Nassima needs:
- A customer
- A staff member assigned to the job
- At least one service or part line from your catalog
The description of the work is the one field that's genuinely optional — add it up front if it helps, or leave it and fill it in as the job progresses.
If the work is for someone new or a walk-in and you don't have a customer record yet, you don't have to stop and create one first. You can start the job against their basic contact details and formalize the profile later.
From there, you can also set a scheduled date, either right away or once the job is underway.
You don't have to start from scratch, either. An approved estimate can be converted straight into a job, carrying its details over automatically. See Quote to job to invoice pipeline for how that conversion works end to end, and Quote approval workflow for how an estimate gets approved before it reaches that stage.
Opening a job from its work order takes you to the job workspace, the technician's view of that single job. The Jobs list shows every job across your business in one place, so you can check status and progress, and see what's active, overdue, or finished, without opening each one individually.
Nassima's AI tools can also help with job creation directly, though today that lives on your team's side of Nassima rather than something a customer can trigger by messaging you on WhatsApp, Telegram, or email.
Once a job is finished, turning it into an invoice is covered under Create invoices from work orders. If you want every job to start from the same checklist of services, set that up under Job templates.
However it starts, from scratch or from an approved estimate, a job stays connected to the same customer record as everything else: the conversation, the estimate, the invoice, and the payment.
