What is the AI receptionist?

Yes. The AI receptionist is Nassima itself handling your customer conversations — on inbound phone calls and on the messaging channels you connect — so you're not the one answering every question yourself.

To turn it on, go to Nassima Tools, then Receptionist, and enable it there. You'll also need at least one channel connected before it can pick up a conversation — the same Receptionist page shows you which channels still need connecting.

Inside a conversation, it can:

• Book or manage an appointment
• Create and send a quote
• Look up a customer
• Create a new customer record
• Check staff availability and business hours
• Check a customer's loyalty or membership status
• Log a complaint
• Search your product or service catalog

A customer doesn't need any special phrasing — they can just ask, in their own words, and Nassima works out what to do. For example: "Can you book me in for a haircut this Thursday at 2pm?" or "Do you have the blue jacket in stock?"

It only works within the permissions and tools set up for your business — it can't do anything that hasn't been made available to it. Certain actions ask the customer to confirm before Nassima goes ahead; see Action consent for how that works.
