How does quote approval work?
Cette réponse n'est pour l'instant publiée qu'en anglais.
Yes. Quotes go through an approval step before they move on to a job.
Send the quote to the customer, and they review it and approve or reject it from the customer portal — see Approve an estimate for that step from the customer's side.
On your side, staff with the right permission can decide the same way, from the Quotes section under Operations. You can approve or reject:
- The whole quote at once
- Each line item on its own
From the quote's page, you can also just tell Nassima what to do instead of clicking through the screen yourself. For example: "approve the brake line" or "send the estimate for approval." Nassima proposes the action and shows you a summary first — nothing is applied until you confirm it.
Customers can also ask Nassima about a quote through WhatsApp, Telegram, or email, but the approval decision itself still happens through the portal link, not inside the chat.
Once approved, the quote converts into a job and then an invoice — see Quote to job to invoice pipeline for how that conversion works.
Every decision on the quote is recorded in a change log — who decided, what changed, and when — using the same tamper-evident pattern behind invoice history. See Invoice audit trail and change logs for how that works in more depth.
The result: you, your team, and the customer are all looking at the same decision, recorded the same way.
