What checkout options does the storefront have?

Esta respuesta está publicada por ahora solo en inglés.

Yes. Your storefront checkout can run in five different modes, and you choose which one applies to an order.

A customer browses your store page, adds items to their cart, and moves to the Checkout page to complete the purchase. Once they check out, they see an on-page confirmation right away. For four of the five modes — Pay Online, Pay Deposit, Pay Later, and Request Confirmation — they also land on a persistent order confirmation and tracking page they can come back to anytime. A Quote checkout confirms on the spot too, but since there's no order being fulfilled yet, it doesn't carry that ongoing tracking link.

The five checkout modes are:

Pay Online — the customer pays the full amount immediately at checkout Pay Deposit — the customer pays only a deposit amount at checkout Pay Later — the customer checks out and an invoice is issued with no payment collected yet, also known as pay-on-credit Request Confirmation — an invoice is issued for the order, but no payment is collected at checkout; you follow up and confirm with the customer manually Quote — the storefront generates a quote for the order instead of an invoice

Every mode supports delivery fees and marketing discount codes at checkout, regardless of which one you're using.

Pay Later can be turned on or off for your store. When it's off, customers won't see it as a checkout option.

The deposit itself — how it's tracked, applied, and returned — is covered under Customer deposits, and payout timing is covered under Deposits and payouts. Running your storefront more broadly, including payments and order management beyond checkout, is covered under Sell products and services online.

Because guest checkout on your storefront is an anonymous, customer-driven flow, Nassima explains how it works rather than completing a purchase on a customer's behalf.

Separately, there's also a staff-side way to turn a customer's cart directly into an invoice with a payment link, outside these five storefront modes — a distinct, single-mode flow for when you're working a sale directly with a customer rather than sending them to your public storefront.

Which mode fits depends on when you want the money and whether the price needs to be settled before the work starts.
