How do I add items to an invoice?

Add items to an invoice from the Invoices section, and edit them freely while the invoice is still a draft.

Each line needs a description, a quantity, and a unit price. Every line also has a type, and you're not limited to one type per invoice — mix and match as needed:

• Product
• Service
• Subscription
• Fee
• Discount
• Tax
• Shipping
• Other

You can also add these to any line, when you need them:

• A tax rate
• A discount
• An item code (SKU)
• A unit of measure

You can link a line to an item in your catalog instead of typing everything in by hand. For how your catalog itself is set up and priced, see Catalog items and categories and Product and service pricing.

Once the invoice is issued, its lines are locked and can no longer be changed.

Every invoice ends up as a clean, itemized record of exactly what was billed, right down to the SKU.
