Can I give employees loans?

Yes. Nassima can handle an employee loan from the request through to the final repayment.

Create the loan from the Employee loans tab under Payroll. Pick the employee, set the terms, then disburse the funds when you're ready — there's no separate approval step for a loan you create yourself, it goes straight from creation to disbursement. Nassima builds the repayment schedule once it's disbursed, and each repayment gets recorded against it.

To create a loan, Nassima needs:

• The employee
• The loan date
• The currency
• The loan amount
• The repayment term (in months)

Employees can also request a loan themselves, from Employee Services. A self-requested loan is handled differently: it comes in needing your approval, and has to be approved before it can be disbursed.

A loan can be cancelled any time before it's disbursed. Once the funds go out, it's on the books and follows its repayment schedule instead.

Every loan keeps its own outstanding balance, its full repayment history, and what's still left to pay, together on the loan record, without you having to piece it together from separate payment entries.

This is about loans made to employees specifically. A general business loan is tracked separately, under Nassima's loan management.

The loan stays on the employee's own record from request to final payment, so nobody's reconciling it by hand on the side.
